Excitement all around.
After her neighborhood run, Ursa studiously avoiding fence and responding to every hint of beckon.
Saturday night: Running gun battle. Surprise, surprise. Police came -- 8 vehicles and, later, the dogs.
Sunday: Shopping with Shannon and Brandon. Got tape [my splint looks much cleaner now] and cheap milk and butter.

The Stupid Hand
Dear all,
I am writing this on behalf of Mater who will be sending this out to you all.
Since she currently does not have the skill to edit this...I can say almost anything about her :)
First of all Happy Holidays and a blessed New Year.
Momma (in all her graceful glory) tripped up the stairs 2 days before Thanksgiving. She broke her right hand and only has her one stupid hand to work with. She now has: The writing skills of a 5yr old; the dressing skills of a rebellious teen (whatever is comfortable and convenient), and the typing skills of a CEO. Her hand contains titanium, the doctor said it's not enough for me to sell her to a scrapyard, I suppose that makes her the 6,000 dollar woman.
Post surgery: The hand has been checked on by a Doctor of internal medicine, a field medic, and me. At this time she has been declared recovering and a pain (in the hand). Kendall and I were down this weekend doing chores and cooking food that we hope the newly left-handed mater can eat. She has a check up in just under 2 weeks. We figured the Orthopedic Dr. who did the surgery should get a look at it too.
Anyhoo...
Don't expect much email from her. Keep her in your prayers and remind her to drink lots of milk.
